Hi

Can't get DVDSUB to play, opens fine in VLC BTW.

CSI NY S2E2 is tested.

Tested every settings I can find in server and player. For player log, I use normal Android app on Shield TV. Ca time 20:00 CET, to find the autolog. User: server

Logs:

FFMPEGEmby1 and Emby2

Hi.  I cannot find your app log and the other logs you linked to are behind a Google auth request.  Can you please just attach those as text files here?

What format is the media in?

I have added them here, hope they work :)

The media is in format .mp4.

I shared it without any kind of password, just push to read. For all that have the link, as they said. I'll remove them if people her can't open them.

Sidenote; wouldn't it be better for the Emby app to generate a link to the log we kan attach, if needed. Instead of you searching for it?

Hi.  The app is running on your TV so it would be pretty difficult to copy and paste a link from there.

I do not see any subtitles in this item:

19:45:13.475 Input #0, mpegts, from 'E:\Testfiler\Dolby Digital Plus 5.1 EAC3.m2ts':
19:45:13.475 Duration: 00:01:34.16, start: 600.000000, bitrate: 27062 kb/s
19:45:13.475 Program 1
19:45:13.475 Stream #0:0[0x1011]: Video: h264 (High) (HDMV / 0x564D4448), yuv420p(tv, bt709, top first), 1920x1080 [SAR 1:1 DAR 16:9], Level 41, 29.97 fps, 29.97 tbr, 90k tbn, Start-Time 600.000s
19:45:13.475 Stream #0:1[0x1100]: Audio: eac3 (AC-3 / 0x332D4341), 48000 Hz, 7.1, fltp, 1664 kb/s, Start-Time 600.000s

It also is not an mp4.  Are these the correct logs?

Does not seem to be the right logs, should be CSI and .mp4 files.

Even I followed the how-to and circled the logs before I did the test, and the time and date on the file where right.

Is it possible to just delete logs, so I/everyone is certain there is no old stuff in them?

Tried one more time 🙂

Now I deleted all logs, started the server, started the app and played only some minuts/seconds in two of given CSI NY episodes. S02 E2 and E4. They are MP4 files.

I tried to search the logs, but could not find anything in what was played at all..

The thes was done ca. 19:26-19:28 CET.

Logs that I have after deleted all the old ones are atteched.

Kindly

@pettergulbra if you play the video using the Emby web app, how does that compare? Do you see the subtitles?

Don't have an computer to test with, but if I use the web app on my phone browser. It no problem at all. Not with another series with embedded subs either, but this is MKV not MP4. But both works in web app..

Strange?

Hi.  Can you try sideloading our standard android app on the same device and see how that compares?

Thanks.

@pettergulbracan you try downloading the latest version of our sideload install?

Support for dvdsub in mp4 containers has been added. Thanks.
