isabellajane 0
Hi, I'm looking to get a laptop upgrade from my old Intel core i3 and I found two deals I was interested in. Now, I have to also say that I'm a gamer and I like to play games but for all games I have to use my laptop. My laptop has terrible battery, cooling and feels not instantly responsive even on a couple of chrome tabs. I always have to use file cleanup and optimize disk to get it to feel faster and though it has 8gb of RAM I still feel like it's slow. Is intel Evo good for gaming? Can anyone suggest me? But the problem is that my budget is not too high. Someone has suggested me some references- https://www.dell.com/en-au/lp/intel-evo-platform https://www.intel.com.au/content/www/au/en/products/systems-devices/laptops/evo.html https://www.lenovo.com/au/en/faqs/intel/intel-evo-platform/
RanmaCanada 345
No. If you want to seriously game on a laptop, buy a gaming laptop. Even an older version will be superior to an Intel Evo. Evo is just marketing speak, nothing more. These are your basic laptops. https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/articles/000057480/processors/intel-core-processors.html Since you appear to be in upside down land, how about you tell us what your actual budget is. You could potentially just upgrade your laptop with an ssd, add more ram and then get an external GPU with power adapter, if that's in your budget.
isabellajane 0
Hey @ranmacanada, Thanks for showing interest! Actually my budget is not too high. It is around $1000 - 1800 max. If you are having any option between them please share with me.
Solution RanmaCanada 345 Posted January 23, 2023 Solution Share Posted January 23, 2023 Sorry for the long delay between posts as I am very ill currently. Even at $1000 AUSD you should be able to get a decent used gaming laptop. I would check eBay and see if you can find some deals there, especially ones that have a longer than 90 day warranty. I know here in Canada and in the USA every once in a while they run a promo where you get a free 2 year extended warranty.
