Cant Select Next video while in Shuffle from any collection/playlist

It starts normal when you hit shuffle but then doesn't give you the play back and forward icons. when you hit down on the remote just brings up chapter info instead of having the option to skip or go back. its happened before in other apps and a restart usually helped but as of now its very broken on the samsung app. It worked fine just a day or two ago cant seem to find any updates that would have caused the change.

Try pressing up instead of down

pressing up just goes to cc selection instead of chapter info when pressing down. There is a bug preventing the function from working at all. The forward back and pause buttons don't appear on the screen. I have seen the bug before in the web app,  first time dealing with it on the samsung app.

Enter button on the remote will do pause/play.  When you press up, the timeline shows and the left/right arrows on the remote advances playback directly from the timeline.  Left/right will also work without showing the onscreen display.

If you want the old style buttons back, you can enable the option in Playback settings in the app (set it to no)

Copy on all this, is this a new feature that rolled out with the 12/12 update? my app was running the OG style till recently. Also maybe it needs a more easily understood name then video player transport buttons? never heard them called that in the consumer sphere.

It’s been in the USB version of the app for a few months. 
 

Depending on your TV model (2020 - 2022), if you’re using the App Store version it looks like a new version was released a few days ago which would have this change.
