pir8radio 1292
Hello, the one device I need to show up as a DLNA stream receiver is NOT showing up... Looking for some advice... ALL of my DLNA Pioneer speakers show up fine, (havent tried streaming to them yet) but my Sharp Aquos STV is not showing up... Thats the one device i would love to stream my movies to. It does show up in windows under "Play-To" devices and it works streaming from windows, just thought it would be cool to do it directly from MB3. Thanks guys! Luke 37095
how long did you wait for? if it doesn't show up immediately, it may still show up after the server blasts it's alive notifications, which by default are every 60s
AgileHumor 123
I have a Sharp TV, it's the only one in my house that doesn't support DLNA play to. First, just because the TV supports DLNA doesn't mean it will support DLNA play to, which is an advanced feature Second, mine does support browsing from the TV. So while it supports "DLNA", it doesn't support the play to. You need to use the TV remote to access the content...and it's not nearly as pretty as the MB clients. Of course, it's model specific and YMMV. The newer models from this year may support it...but sadly the 2013 models no bueno. PS - Fix is to buy a Roku and tape it to back of TV Edited October 15, 2014 by AgileHumor
pir8radio 1292
i didnt start messing with the DLNA stuff until the day after the install.... so it was over night, and still didnt show up. As for poster two with the sharp tv, my tv does support PLAY-TO becuase it works directly from windows, i can play to movies to it from windows media player/OS right click. so i know it functions, it just doesnt show up in the MB3 list... :-( any other suggestions? AgileHumor 123
Sorry sir, the good news is I have the same thing...can play using Windows. Good news, I can try to debug too. Have you turned on DLNA logging and checked them out? <root xmlns="urn:schemas-upnp-org:device-1-0" xmlns:dlna="urn:schemas-dlna-org:device-1-0"> <specVersion> <major>1</major> <minor>0</minor> </specVersion> <device> <UDN>uuid:dbda0c3c-0a78-11e1-9713-34F62D6317EA</UDN> <deviceType>urn:schemas-upnp-org:device:MediaRenderer:1</deviceType> <dlna:X_DLNADOC>DMR-1.50</dlna:X_DLNADOC> <friendlyName>AQUOS LE650U</friendlyName> <manufacturer>Sharp Corporation</manufacturer> <manufacturerURL>http://www.sharp-world.com/</manufacturerURL> <modelName>AQUOS LC-60LE650U</modelName> <modelNumber>1.0W</modelNumber> <modelURL>http://www.sharp-world.com/</modelURL> <serviceList> <service> <serviceType>urn:schemas-upnp-org:service:ConnectionManager:1</serviceType> <serviceId>urn:upnp-org:serviceId:ConnectionManager</serviceId> <SCPDURL>doc/desc/cms.xml</SCPDURL> <controlURL>control/ConnectionManager</controlURL> <eventSubURL>event/ConnectionManager</eventSubURL> </service> <service> <serviceType>urn:schemas-upnp-org:service:AVTransport:1</serviceType> <serviceId>urn:upnp-org:serviceId:AVTransport</serviceId> <SCPDURL>doc/desc/avt.xml</SCPDURL> <controlURL>control/AVTransport</controlURL> <eventSubURL>event/AVTransport</eventSubURL> </service> <service> <serviceType>urn:schemas-upnp-org:service:RenderingControl:1</serviceType> <serviceId>urn:upnp-org:serviceId:RenderingControl</serviceId> <SCPDURL>doc/desc/rcs.xml</SCPDURL> <controlURL>control/RenderingControl</controlURL> <eventSubURL>event/RenderingControl</eventSubURL> </service> </serviceList> </device> </root> Edited October 16, 2014 by AgileHumor
pir8radio 1292
would debugging show anything if i cant even see this device in the list of DLNA devices on media browser? Thats my issue, WIndows sees it and plays to it. MB3 doesnt even list it. My tv is the exact same model as the one listed in your debug, with the latest firmware. what did you find when debugging? I would imagine our results would be the same. Edited October 16, 2014 by pir8radio

AgileHumor 123
I have no idea why it doesn't show up...yet as you and I mentioned...Play To in Windows works fine. You ever make any progress?
pir8radio 1292
no progress on my end... all of my other DLNA devices show in EMBY just not the Aquos Tv
HelgOmat 0
I've got the same problem, just with another TV, if I'm getting this right, the procedure for discovery of DMR's is not effected by the DLNA profiles. So it seems that it is a general problem of EMBY. Could you may post a log?
