I would like to add a url to a log file that would allow an admin to click on the link in the log file to get to the item in emby in chrome browser

I can construct the URL fine, but when clicked on the user is prompted to authenticate and even then repasting the url doesnt work

Is there a way to make dumb url links to media items in web client that an admin can click on? on the local server.

thanks

Not sure about your workflow, but having no issues opening browser/item url link if user not signed out last session. If signed-out getting Sign-in page which feels normal behaviour as url contains no userid.

im on windows and the item urls are just not reliable for me.

often the first time i paste a url and go...no response....

if i highlight the url and press go a 2nd time it will work..

im finding that emby is not remembering the browser as i have to keep turning off theme songs

ive tried clearing the cache and starting again.

this behaviour is consistent across multiple browsers..edge chrome firefox

Maybe something is clearing your browsing data, some privacy setting or some extension?

Tested on Edge, Chromium, Firefox in few scenarios - have no issues in any of them, with launching browser and opening url or only pasting url, getting there every time on first try. 🤷
