Guest
I found a small bug/issue with how work with multiple movie versions and 3D movies. If I have a movie in 2D and 3D as separate files, Emby will pick it up just fine and show me both as a drop down. The 2D file is listed first and so all of the metadata is retrieved from that file association, even when I chose the 3D movie. So when the 3D movie is picked, emby does not display it as '3D' other than in the dropdown, because it is looking at the other files metadata; this results in emby not using my external player to play the 3D file. If I filter by 3D in the main movie section then select the same movie, the first option is the 3D file, and thus all the metadata is brought from it and the opposite happens. The 2D movie is labeled as 3D. This means that the 2D movie is played in the external as well as the 3D. Would it be possible to fix this issue, by having the metadata update when each alternate movie is selected so it does not just use the first file's info for all the items in the drop down. Thank you.
GrimReaper 3328
There is ever only single movie metadata as all versions are treated as same - one - movie. Number of related topics around.
Guest
I'm able to edit the metadata for both the 3D and 2D movie separately, if I just use the 3D filter to switch the order as explained in my first post. Does this not mean that there is metadata for both movies? Emby knows that one is 3D and the other is not.
