More Bitrates for 480p resolutions

Hi

It would be really nice if we can have more bitrates around 1Mbits.

I know there is 1Mbit but the most of the ADSL upload spees are just below of 1Mbit

We can get the best picture out of the maximum upload speed

For example the following bitrates would be nice

a) 900 Kbits

800 Kbits

 

and for the people they have ADSL Annex M which in theory goes up to 3Mbits

bitrates above 1Mbit would be nice such as

a)1100 Kbits

b)1200 Kbits

c) 1400 Kbits

d) 1600 Kbits

e)  2000 Kbits

g) 2400 Kbits

I have to be honest, this seems like way too many..  (would clutter the list) Having the thing set to Auto should work most of the time.

If this is going to be a reality add one below 1000 and one above.

I am trying to suggest bitrates for watching TV remotely (480p) from a standard ADSL line

The typical upload speed is 1Mbit so if I am supposed to choose one bitrate for a good quality I would choose 900Kbits

Since the list is getting big would be nice if we can have the option to select some of these bitrates in the selection button

when we watch TV.

 

Does anyone know how to add a custom bitrate?

I tried to add one bitrate by editing the mediaplayer-video.js but I think the bitrate did not change.

For example I added the 480p-900Kbits but when I measure the bitrate was again at 720kbit

I think more needs to be done
