dalezjc 14
So maybe I'm a little confused about the Android app. When I want to connect to Emby remotely, I select Change Server -> Add Server. Then I enter the IP address shown in the Admin Dashboard under Remote WAN access. After about 5 minutes or so, it defaults back to my local WAN IP address. Is this normal behavior? I thought it would add it as separate IP address for just remote use? Thanks, Dale
Happy2Play 8293
Don't know this app but if like others it shoulds be one server with info for LAN and WAN connections. So if you disable wifi it should connect via the WAN address.
dalezjc 14
As you can see from the screenshot, it only lists one IP, and in this instance, it's the remote IP.
Luke 37090
Hi, what do you mean by local wan ip? There's no such thing as local wan, right?
dalezjc 14
Sorry, I just meant my 10.0 local network.
Luke 37090
@dalezjc were you able to get connected? Are you still having an issue with this?
dalezjc 14
Yes, when I want to listen in the car, I have to turn off my wi-fi before I start Emby, and then it works (fairly well). I still like it over Plex, and will probably be purchasing the Premier version.
