Mass-change to "Date added" for TV shows

Hi,

 

I am converting my old TV shows' DVDs into Media Browser realm of beyawesomeness.

Is there a way to change the entire TV show "Date added" so that this TV show does not show up as the Latest?

Changing "Date added" for the TV show folder in Metadata Manager does not modify the sub folders/files "Date added".

Currently, I have to change it for every single episode.

Why not mark the series as watched?  This will remove them from latest.

Unfortunately, what you are proposing is not preferable as it will only work for the one user that's sitting in front of the TV. Other users will have to do the same.

Moreover, this will need to be done each time I convert older DVDs to my digital collection which happens frequently.

I can usually circumvent this by changing "Date added" when it comes to one item. it would be just easier if multiple selected items could be changed in one go. Just curious if its a yay or a nay.

You can use a tool like Notepad ++ to modify all the tags in the nfo/xml in a folder.

 

Or you could use the Timelord plugins to change all dated added to there premiere/air dates.
