Hi, here's the media on server (3 srt subs):

Here's the offline one:

First at all, playing media on server from web with italian subtitles works. the same from theater doesn't (edit after a while the subs appear).

Playing the offline version with the embedded subtitle doesn't work.

Playing the offline version with the VTT subs works..

questions:

- is this a specific theater behaviour to generate the VTT files?

- why the srt embedded doesn't work for offline content?

thx

no subtitles showed

emby server debug log: https://gist.github.com/Bazzu85/b999dc172b0cb61674780eaced630552

as mentioned above using the VTT subtitles extracted on the downloaded folder works. embedded ones works:

When you downloaded it, did you force download the original file? If yes then that is your issue. Select something else and the server will convert the subtitles to something compatible for the app.

So the windows store app is not able to play srt subtitles embedded into mkv files?

To reply, yes I usually download the original file to preserve all audio and subtitles tracks.
