"skipping unplayable item" after editing metadata in Emby

I have a few movies which I could play just fine. Their title was a little wrong so I went to the Emby web interface and did an "Identify" to refetch the proper title, then applied it. The title now shows fine in both the Emby web interface and Kodi Embycon. However, Kodi Embycon now refuses to play it any more, even though it played it fine before (pressing play now shows the moving circle for a fraction of a second, then stops). The debug logs say:

turn on debug logging in the advanced in the EmbyCon addon settings

restart kodi

reproduce the error

pm me the log file
