KenLinder 4
Unfortunateky as with most software these days EMBY has no manual. It does have useful online content but there is no "So you just installed EMBY" page that opens when you install the software and run it for the first time. You need to go to open "EMBY Server". There should be a link via your start button (as with other software). Run that. It will run a browser application that lets you set up the server. When the web application comes up you have to create a Library. The Library will point to one or more directories of video files. You can do this in the web application for EMBY by clicking the gear in the upper right of the browser window. That should give you the Server Dashboard. On the left side of the window you will see a list of choices. Click "Library". Now the screen will have changed. Up top just under where it has buttons for "Libraries" and "Advanced" you can click "+New Library" to add your first library of files. You will have to name your library and give it at least one path name to look in for media files. There's a lot of information in the knowledge base.
