Allgemeine technische Frage.

Hi,
wahrscheinlich Offtopic. Aber trotzdem.

habe seit kurzem einen Sony XR-75X92J. Da mein AV-Receiver (ein Onkyo TX-NR 809) noch der älteren HDMI 1.4 Generation angehört, habe ich noch einen FeinTech VAX01202 HDMI eARC Audio Extractor dazwischen gesteckt.

Zuspieler ist eine NVidia Shield 2019 Pro. HD-Sound wird hier durchgereicht, wie es sein soll.

Jetzt hab ich mir mal gedacht, teste doch mal die Apps direkt auf dem TV - so..... TrueHD wird als Zweikanal an meinem Verstärker durchgereicht, und DTS-HD Master als DTS.

Kann der TV selber jetzt über interne Apps keinen HD-Sound auf dem Verstärker ausgeben, oder liegt es einfach nur an meinem Verstärker selbst?

Was ich absolut seltsam aber genial finde, Emby Android kann neben VLC als einzige Software wohl auf dem TV die Bildwiederholrate anpassen. Kodi kann es auf dem TV nicht, da bekomme ich auch nicht mehr als 1080p als Auflösung angeboten. Ansonsten ist es auch nicht so einfach, Kodi zu installieren. Aus dem Appstore selbst geht es schon mal gar nicht.

Yeah, I don't think any TVs support HD audio out of the internal apps.  They are build for streaming services and no streaming service is delivering those audio formats.

It's just weird that DTS is output. Everything else on two-channel.

Too bad though. Now that Emby is running perfectly, that would have been kind of awesome to have it all in one. For TV, you still need the original remote for picture settings, as you do for the Shield. You can do the controls with both remotes, but you still need the respective remote for the settings.

Nevertheless, NOW that DTS-HD HR is also running on Emby, I'm extremely happy with it.
