Trakt Error Ver 3.9.0

Recommended Posts

Hi...

Trackt ver 3.9.0 seems to be having an issue for me.  I have tried to redo the PIN just in case but still receive the below error...

Emby Server Version 4.7.6.0 running as  a Docker on unRAID 6.10.3.  Playback is Via a current NVIDIA Pro running Emby App.

Issue is it seem that when it tries to run on the timer, it will stop a current playback of a video for some reason. "No Playable Items Were Found" Emby reports during a video playback. (It can be 10 mins in or 30, at some point the video stops and I get that notice on the screen.)    Looking into the logs, I can only seem that Trakt was looking to run and giving the below error.

As mentioned, I have redone the PIN and when I run the event manually, it gives the error.

Any thoughts would be great.

Thanks

David

Also seems I can not delete the 15 min timer.  I click Delete and it asks me to approve the delete, yet it does not remove it. I added a "once a day" to see if my playback issue is resolved, and thus came across this other issue when trying to delete the every 15 min timer.  Ugh!

Hi, looks like your trakt account is locked. You'll need to contact trakt support to unlock it.

The scheduled task is not meant to be run that frequently and that's why this happened.

Hi Luke...

Interesting.  It has been like this for years.  I will reach out.

I only found it based on receiving "No Playable Items Found" error while playing back any show. After the error, I just click play and it continues right where it left off. (NVIDA Shield Pro)  I was looking at the logs and it was the only error I could really see at the time.

Hi Luke...It seems Emby is making for the locking issue as you seem to already know as you are in the below github link.  This is the reply I received from Traxt....

"Hey dbott,

Emby duplicated your history with 203k play history items.  Your account is currently being deduplicated and will be unlocked in a few minutes.  If you could, please help the Emby devs figure out what is causing this, as it happens to quite a number of Trakt users.

Let me know if I can help with anything else.

- Sean"
....

Whoops.. forgot to provide you with the issue link: https://github.com/MediaBrowser/trakt/issues/20

Also, your account just finished deduping.  Happy Trakting!

- Sean

----------------------------

So I am now unlocked and the plugin is now set to run once a day vs every 15min. (Which had never been an issue in all the the years I have used it.)  It surely seems I am no alone this having happened.

Syncing the library to trakt is something you only need to do once in initial import. It doesn't need to run on a regular basis after that.

Hi Luke...

I am confused, as the plugin reads...

Sync library to trakt.tv

Adds any media that is in each users trakt monitored locations to their trakt.tv profile

So to me, that means it runs to add info to Trakt like new shows, deleted shows, or updates watched status.

Are you telling me this is built in somehow and the Plugin is not needed?  You can see why I would be confused.

Thanks.

That's meant to be run once on initial setup. After that, the server will sync new library additions automatically when they happen.

Interesting Luke...For in the plugin there is a setting that mentions using a scheduled task.  I guess this is why it is confusing and was set up as a scheduled task.

Thanks.

I think the original plugin developer originally made it a scheduled task out of convenience - they get to use the built-in UI that already has a button to start it, cancel it, view progress, etc, thus saving them from having to build all of that out themselves.

The right place to put it would be a button on the Trakt setup page where you can start it as a one-time process, but then of course, all of those scheduled task features that come for free would have to be built into that page.

So that's what I believe the thought process was from the original developer.

  • 2 months later...

Hi Luke....

I have not been having any issues from the last time we chatted on this.  But I do see that Emby auto updated the plugin, so I will see if anything changes.

Thanks for thinking about getting back to me as it has been some time.

David
