feltonquin 5
My local channels (NBC, CBS, ABC) play in the HDHomeRun app on any device, but on Emby one channel consistently fails to load ... it stalls at 26% on any device. I don't know if it is a tuner issue or an Emby Server issue. I don't think it is an Emby Client issue because it the 26% loading is consistent across devices. I don't think it is a Tuner issue or signal strength issue else I would not be able to tune the channel in the HDHR native app (Roku, Windows, etc.) My Emby server is a Synology NAS 920+ and my HDHR is an HDHR Extend with H.264 transcoding built-in (assuming it's configured correctly). Thanks for any troubleshooting recommendations.

ebr 14935
Hi. Any chance this one channel is ATSC 3.0? Let's look at an example. Please attach the information requested in how to report a media playback issue. Thanks!
feltonquin 5
Untitled document.txt I am not sure how to see whether a channel is ATSC 3.0 or not. With further testing, I am finding my problem channel plays via Emby in a browser, and it plays on Emby's iOS app. Maybe it is just the Roku (Emby app) where the channel gets to to 26% on the spinner and stops there. Logs from server are as I tried to tune the problem channel via the Roku app. Edited August 20, 2022 by feltonquin
ebr 14935
Hi. Can we please see the ffmpeg log(s) created as well? @softworkz
feltonquin 5
I see ffmpeg-transcode-* and ffmpeg-directstream-* logs in the Emby logs area. Attached is Unititled 2 which (was a transcode log) that correlates to the Roku failing to livestream at 26% If I use VLC app and open a Direct Stream, the channel plays fine. feltonquin 5
I used the "Manual Install" button in the Synology package manager to install 4.8.0.8-* (beta) and all the problems are solved. Live TV works fine now for the problem channel that was stalling out at 26%. I also see closed captions now -- new feature -- very exciting! Thanks for the help, I think this issue can be closed as resolved? embyserver (1).txt ffmpeg-transcode-cea275cf-e8d5-4df9-8b65-a4852bb5d12c_1.txt
