Serving up coverart instead of movies?

All of these movies when played using the built-in interface (dish hopper/samsung bluray) get the coverart served up instead of the video file, when playing on the computer or sent via direct play they work fine, but having to go to your computer to be able to play half your library is a big fail..

that might be what you think the problem is, but it's not. whatever it is, it's going to require someone with a dish hopper who is capable of getting to the bottom of the problem. unfortunately the nature of dlna is that it has to be tested individually for every device you want to support. nobody on the core team has a dish hopper so we're going to have to rely on a community member with the device who can figure it out and get us the information of what changes need to be made.

there is a dlna profile setting of whether or not to enable album art in didl. try that, although if you're using the built-in dish hopper profile it's already off.

The only current solution is removing the artwork from the folder completely for the problem files, not sure why it is intermittent since all my folders are  setup the same and about half have the issue.

Ok ripped it out completely, remove all traces, revo uninstall remove ALL traces, delete mb folders in roaming. Install beta, set all metadata to mb type/first position, do not check save in folders, check hide meta/imgs. 26 file test, with "all" images, total fail, all "movies" are jpg's 0/26.

Rip all meta out (delete with explorer mb's "adv refresh/replace all option" not enough). Un-check everything but "thumbs" on img types, re-download about 16 have images and are playable. Manual upload thumbs for missing imgs 2 of 8 fixed play w/artwork, 6 still fail showing jpg's instead of movies, delete imgs for those and 26/26 playable 6/w no artwork and a horrible looking library on your computer of odd mismatched thumbs and blank spots.

Currently Dish has 14 million subscribers with at least 4 million and probably closer to 5 million hoppers sold. Assuming new customers all get hoppers add +2.4 million per year to that, it might be time for you guys to get at least 1..
