Vicpa 554
Hi I am not sure of all the rules when original release date is used. One instance is not correct. Year, Year-month, Year-month-day are all valid, accurate values for the "Date" and "original release date" emby seems to ignore just a year and uses the original release date if it contains year-month or year-month-day. Steps to reproduce. 1) use a year (1961) for the date 2) have an original release date of anything with a year-month or year month-day (1997-01) 3) emby uses the year-month date of 1997 4) Expected result is 1961 Now I "fix" most of these by changing the tags to match, but that is a manual process, and I am sure I miss some. Thanks -vicpa
Luke 37064
HI, the release date field in the emby server database is meant to hold a date, that's why anything other than that gets ignored. Now in the case of it being Year-Month, we probably could assume the Day is 1, call it close enough, and get away with it most of the time. But in the case of just a year, I don't think that would work.
