Hello,

I have IP cameras and I am looking for good hardware to deep video analize. I found Google Coral USB accelarator and NVR use it to analyze video called Frigate NVR. It is very powerfull, low power and relative cheap piece of hardware.

It is possible to Emby use this accelearator to transcode video?

For now it is very hard to buy but is available in here:

Hi, are you saying you want to install Emby Server on this?

No No.

Maybe I ask wrong question. It is possible to add feature to Emby to use this processor only for a accelerator/help to transcoding video? It has drivers/api to a lot of operating system and it connecting to USB port. Frigate NVR use this to accelerate video analize.

It is possible? It make any sense?

Instead of using very expensive video card and use a lot of power maybe we can use this acceleator?

OK not to my knowledge unless the system somehow recognizes it as a video card that can use vaapi.
