DenisG 0
Hi, i'm not very familiar with these things, but it seems that since last update of my shield, i have to force transcoding to view images with some movies. Before that, theses movies could be viewed in direct play without problems. No problems with LG client or Windows client. Is there anything that i can do to solve this issue ? or a new limitation with Android ? Thanks

ebr 14939
I think this is likely related to the Xvideo format which can be very problematic. We may just need to always transcode those.
Luke 37133
HI, can you try sideloading our standard android app on the same device and let us know how that compares? https://emby.media/emby-for-android.html Thanks !
DenisG 0
Hi Luke, before that, I mad a try with an other android TV device : same issue as with my Shield. I made a try with standard android app on 2 other android device : no issues with my xvid movies. I mad a try on my shield with Emby + an external player (vlc, mx player) : no issue. I have install standard android app on my shield : apart from the fact that it is painful to use, i have succeeded launching a movie with no issue. No problem with xvid So it seems that the problem comes from the native Emby player of the Android TV emby app. I think the problem is recent because I was viewing some of these movies normally some weeks ago. Regards.

DenisG 0
Hi, I have a problem with browsing the items in the app. I have got 4 entry devices on my shield : usb keybord, shield game controller, Logitech universal remote, and shield remote. Only the last is fully functionnal (no issue with Emby for Android Tv) With the other, when I use arrows, or tab, it's not fully functionnal. For example, arrows up or down made a kind of page up, page down (skip several items). Regards
