Transcoding error with some mp4 files

Hi Emby

I can usually fix the issues that I come across with Emby, but the only resources I'm finding for this issue end without a resolution. It looks like some people find updating their emby solves the issue. My emby is up to date, as are all OS packages (Ubuntu), and still struggling.

Basically when I play some .mp4 files, they don't work. I get the "no compatible streams are currently available. Please try again later or contact your system administrator for details." error. I'm not able to see any obvious pattern to which mp4 files do and don't work. It doesn't appear to be a permissions issue. The files play normally outwith emby (VLC).

Logs etc. below. Any ideas welcomed!

Thanks

Hi, corrupt files perhaps? Looks like the server wasn't even able to probe them for media info.

Happy2Play

Yep Emby does not know how to transcode the file as there is no media info.

I am guessing the details page shows not Media Info either.  Can you try Refresh Metadata on the item to see if it makes a difference.  If not what does the log show when you Refreshed the item?
