Hi,
Can you confirm if the below model of Tv AOC with Roku Tv, is compatible with Emby?

I would like to recommend this model to a customer, but it is essential that they be able to install the Emby app.

Thank you very much

I asked the manufacturer the question now. I think so.

As long as it is running at least Roku firmware 10.0 and is in a region supported by Roku, then it should be fine.

As long as it runs the open Roku store model. You DO NOT WANT the customized closed wall experience called the "Roku Powered" ( https://www.roku.com/roku-powered ) store.

Australia uses "Roku Powered" stores as does most of Canada and SkyTV in the UK and they curate what applications can exist on the store and be downloaded by customers depending on Roku model discovered. I believe Brazil uses the "open" Roku store and anything allowed in Brazil is allowed to exist no matter the Roku model discovered (same as USA/UK/France/Mexico/Etc). As long as you set the region to Brazil and the language to Portugese you should be okay.

It says "Media Browser 3" still and appears this is hard to update since it was called this initially. But I believe this will get you the correct Emby. Notice below it does say associated to Emby LLC.

I'm suspicious of that.  Nothing in our current store listing has "Media Browser" in it.  That may be the old app.

I thought the same until I looked for matching entries across Brazil and the USA.

Here is Emby on the USA store. Different look, but the exact same "star" 3.8 and same amount of ratings 5,061. It leads me to believe that is the exact same Application ID. They should get the real thing not some outdated product from years ago. ^_^

@ebr You should be able to email partnersuccess@roku.com and show them my screenshots and get them to fix that issue across all their countries. That is the purpose of that division. They also have a web portal that might be faster than email ( https://partnersuccess.roku.com/hc/en-us/requests/new ).

The "categories" differs if you look. You can publish again and make sure to include every single region and because they add new ones all the time. Once you publish and it has all the green checkmarks you and can actually get it to accept it that should update every country. You have to raise the version number to get it to publish new on all the countries. Some will think the same version number means not to update. The entire Roku store has this haunted house feeling when publishing. I feel the pain. Make sure to just label them under the "Apps" category like the USA.

If you search for "Emby" on the Brazilian Roku store you get Emby. It is once you click through that it becomes Media Browser 3.
