4.7.x changes to "Stats for nerds" and subtitles

I recently upgraded from 4.6.x to 4.7.2 and I noticed quite some changes in the UI. I have to say I was mostly indifferent to them but there were two that I found worse (or I am missing something).

1. A lot of information was removed from stats from nerds. I can understand it was maybe an attempt to clear it up but for me the removal of the transcoding FPS for example is an issue. In less powerful devices if the video was lagging one thing I would check was if it was transcoding followed by if the FPS of the transcoding were >24FPS, as any less in most media will result to buffering.

2. I had made no selections regarding the size / font etc of the subtitles afaik, but after the upgrade the subtitles were tiny both in my TV and PC monitor, in multiple releases (most if not all the subtitles were internal). I had to change them to extra large to have them around the size they were previously. Is there some configuration I missed regarding their size?

Thanks

Hi, the info you see is largely the same, it's just on fewer lines. Does that answer your question?
The content fps is there. We can add back transcoding fps, if that was indeed there before. I may have just missed it.

The smaller subtitles has also been reported already and we are looking into it. Thanks.

That is true and it's cleaner. My main concern was the transcoding fps. I was about to post screenshots of how it was reported under 3.6.x when I noticed it does show it in 4.7.x as well, I just missed it cause it's next to the bitrate under Stream!

Is there another thread or github issue that tracks the progress with the subtitles? In which case we can link to that and close this thread.

Many thanks as always Luke.

Hi, Emby Server 4.7.5 should have increased the size of the subtitles. Thanks.
