Ninko 64
Hi, Recently I've noticed background pictures are no longer fading out in order to read text. I'm hoping this is a bug as it's awful to try and read, especially when the background is very bright! Thanks
ebr 14928
Hmmm... that is quite odd. I'm not seeing that issue: Can you confirm the version of the app?
Ninko 64
It's version 4.0.55 Thanks
ebr 14928
What is the device and running at what resolution?
Ninko 64
Roku model: 3810EU - Roku streaming stick+ Software version: 11.0.0 build 4193-50 Resolution: 1080p HDCP 1.4 Thanks
ebr 14928
Really not sure what could be going on there? Is it consistent? Have you tried re-starting the device? If you bring up the playback OSD, does it have the proper background?
Ninko 64
It's not consistent no, sometimes you load the app up and it's fine, it only does it, maybe 40% of the time you go into the app. It doesn't change once your in the app, it's either playing up or it's not, only when you exit the app can that change. I will try restarting Roku. What do you mean, "playback OSD"? Thanks
speechles 1920
You mean the darkening shade is sometimes missing, right? The one which makes the bottom half of the so of the backdrop really dark. Do you also browse photos? I found a bug related to viewing photos which could always make the backdrops too bright.

That's correct yes, the bottom half has no shading. I'm not sure what you mean by, do I browse the photos? Thanks

During playback, hit the down arrow on your remote - the on screen display that comes up with a progress bar and buttons - does it have a background so you can see it? 37 minutes ago, Ninko said: I'm not sure what you mean by, do I browse the photos? Do you have a library in Emby with photos in it and do you view those in the Roku app?
Ninko 64
Oh right, in that case, no I haven't noticed a problem with the playback OSD. And no, I don't have any photo library, so can't comment on that. Thanks
Ninko 64
The problem still exists.

I have this model. https://www.bestbuy.com/site/roku-streaming-stick-4k-streaming-device-with-roku-voice-remote-and-tv-controls-black/5948005.p?skuId=5948005 You are sure yours is the 3810? I have a 3810R USA model. It should in theory be the exact same thing and I can then test for this. What firmware version is running on your 3810? I want to see if the USA version matches too. To help narrow this down. Thanks. Edited October 4, 2022 by speechles
