stevesb99 1
I just updated to ET 3.0.15 and I can no longer play video files (SD,HD,BluRay,4K HDR, 3D etc.) with MPC-HC64 as an external player. VLC works fine though. I've used MPC-HC64 for years with no problem until the recent ET update. I have the Emby client on my Win 10 HTPC and Emby Server 4.7.2.0 on my Qnap NAS. Can anyone help. Thanx.
Luke 37259
Hi there @stevesb99 what exactly happens when you try?
stevesb99 1
Luke, it just plays the video with the built-in player, which is I guess mpv. This never happened before the ET 3.0.15 update. MPC-HC64 would always be the player used as I pointed to it in the settings in Emby Theater. And like I said VLC works fine as an external player, so I'm perplexed. Edited June 6, 2022 by stevesb99
Luke 37259
How did you configure the external player?
stevesb99 1
Okay. I had updated MPC-HC64 just recently to the current version. On a whim I downloaded the version as of 06/2020 and installed it as the external player and it works fine! I guess the newest version of ET just doesn't like the newest version of MPC-HC64. Crisis over...............................................................................................for now.
