Make sure all aspects of the item allow the device to direct play it and that the Roku and TV support HDR.

Ok thanks.

It is a Roku Ultra, the content has HDR, and the TV supports HDR.

So I am guessing I am in business!

Does HDR tonemapping have to be enabled on Emby server? Just asking.

Only if the item won't direct play.

Sorry, don't know what you mean but direct play means no conversion of any kind is needed.

@ebrI mean as in it just not direct playing audio only video. Would that still work with hdr or would hdr tonemapping have to be enabled?

i think a video stream copy should work but you'll need to test it.
