jlj1950 7
Hello, I just found a work around on one my hard drives not being recognized by the program. The solution was to use the portable version instead of the installer verison which uses system directories. I thought I had solved my problem. When I ran the portable version, I noticed the drives listed on the home screen were not the drive I connected to when I clicked on one of them. This occurred when I first ran the installer version. I thought Windows had re-lettered all my eternal drives during the re-installation of Windows. I went back and re-lettered them. I will have to do that again since the program verisons, somehow and for some r4eason, map the drives differently. I don't know if my WD drive is being recognized or not. I need to go through and write down the mapping and figuure out what's where. UPDATE: I had a drive crash and left the library in place even though I had pulled the drive. I'm waiting on the program to finish the scanning which started immediately after. Edited April 30, 2022 by jlj1950
Solution jlj1950 7 Posted April 30, 2022 Author Solution Share Posted April 30, 2022 (edited) Any drive containing a library will, when removed cause a mismapping of the drives. The data is accessible but unpredictable in location, until the library, too, is removed. After I removed the library, the program rescanned and the correct mapping occurred.
