Everything seems to be working, except there are no compatible streams for Channel 10.

I also have issues with Channel 10 using Matt's set - that channel seems to be the only one with issues.

Looks like Emby's getting a 404 Not Found when attempting to retrieve the decryption key for the stream presumably:

Maybe @MattHuisman can comment?

His only post in this forum is in response to this exact issue...which seems like it was supposed to have been resolved back then.

$200 plus $4 a month just for channel ten is a pretty massive expense. One presumes Ch10 is fixable somehow...

In doesn't have to be.  Most DVB-T tuners are much cheaper than that, as I posted earlier Emby PVR has weak tuner support.  You can use the mjh XMLTV with tuners too, or using TVHeadend or NextPVR get the EPG OTA.     If you weren't using Emby (why I suggested NextPVR originally) the Scheduled Direct guide get two weeks and is legally licensed.  Emby users are prohibited from using Schedules Direct data.

It's relative too, I suspect event that "massive" expense is cheaper than a new Freeview PVR.

I mean, I can get a PVR for $40. Although I wonder how reliable it would be.

I also have no idea what 90% of the terms in your post mean.

Sounds like you have no interest in learning about computer based PVRs and tuners so I suggest sticking with IPTV.  Many Emby users opt for pirate IPTV and that user demand is what drives Emby, not supporting tuners.  Same for guide data, the premium plan subsidizes users in the US, Canada and in the UK.  Research becomes more important when you aren't in their target market.

I mean, I asked here, thus this thread, but all you're doing is throwing out technical terms. It's not helpful.

Do you ever look the terms you don't understand up in order to find out about them?  Your insistence that you don't understand when there are so many resources to help you to learn rather mystifies me.

It's more that I don't really know where to even begin, especially in terms of running through a NAS Emby installation. I'm vaguely aware of TV tuner cards that go in desktop PCs, but that's presumably of no use here.

Typically it is hard to install tuner cards on a NAS even Intel-based.  The tuner solution right from the first response would be a SiliconDust HDHomerun which you already told us you consider massively expensive.

Broadcast recordings often require transcoding too depending on the client you choose for your mother which might be a factor for you.
