I hear ya. What I don't get is why people feel that way about using a PC to watch TV. I have a great little PC that is 10x more powerful than any of my android boxes. I have that PC connected to my main TV. I can use it to watch or listen to any of my emby libraries, surf the net, do my office work, and (the plan was to) watch live tv.

Hmmmm, TV is a TV, PC is a PC, I guess I'm old School.

Another thing to consider, These IPTV Providers have figured out that users want to "share" their Streams on Media Players like Emby, and have cleverly figured out ways to make it tough to do on Media Players. Something to consider also.

I see that you were able to login using XC.  Did you extract the m3u from your XC login? Or did your provider provide an m3u. A lot are getting away from providing them.

Hello Keg Tapper and thanks for the response.

The provider gave me the URL for the M3U. She also told me the EPG was integrated into that M3U link. I'm not sure what that means, but that's what she said.

I'm not very technical, so I'm not sure how to "extract the m3u". Can you explain?

The problem might not be the m3u list.  Perhaps the XMLTV file is massive which could be a problem even with a reduced channel list.  Perhaps try NextPVR which also is netcore and sqlite to see if is an Emby only problem.

Thank you, Martin.

When you say "try NextPVR", are you referring to an emby plugin or is NextPVR a separate app?

I'd install it standalone just to see how long it takes to load for a comparison baseline with Emby.

Does Emby allow for XC? My iptv provider isnt giving us m3u codes anymore.

How do I even use iptv proxy without having to use docker?

Will m3u4u links work with Emby? Mine dont seem to be.

Hi, what does "don't work" mean?

You can probably get around that by changing the user agent or referrer option.

But since they are blocking Emby because of what they imply is bad application logic, you probably shouldn't.

Some providers will Ban you if you try work-arounds.

I don't think we have bad application logic. Maybe we did a long time ago, but newer versions nowadays have added a number of measures to prevent excess connections, which I think is what their issue was back when.
