gillmacca01 150 Posted March 29, 2022 Share Posted March 29, 2022 I am getting my first SSD tomorrow, and will be used for Emby and a few other apps. All my media are on 2 other normal hard drives. Are there any things I need to configure for best experience with Emby? I have looked at the QNAP docs on SSD, and believe I know what I need to configure, but if anyone can confirm 1 Creating an SSD cache - cache type should be Read-write? Cache Mode: Random I/O or All I/O? 2. SSD over-provisioning - is this recommended, and if so what cache mode should I use? Should I set 'Bypass block size' (what recommended size) and 'Cache replacement policy'? Is there anything else I am missing? any tips/tweaks? Regarding the SSD cache and provisioning I would just try them out and see what works best for your usage. We'll be interested to see those results so please let us know.
