akacharos 11
The main reason I jumped ship from Plex to Emby was the idea of Collections. I wanted social interaction with my friends and the idea that we can create collections and all of us will chip in with suggestions by either creating new or adding content to existing collection was really exciting. It worked and it was great...then version 4.6 came... I understand that some users complained that other users could delete their collections but instead of adding granularity to the Collections permission, you just decided to simply strip away the concept of shared asset. So the only social interaction that was giving an opportunity to get recommendations from other users (instead of crippled auto-suggestions we get now) , is just removed -unless you give unwanted permissions to users. Ain't that cute...but it's wrong! Why not fine grain the permissions to serve all purposes? That's a bit of a sloppy work tbh. Is that concept for Collections here to stay ? For real?
