hootie318 2
This is just a general topic, not sure it belongs here because it is not really "a bug" I had to bury my Emby Server on a Windows Server 2016 PC. I decided to switch to a RPi. I am running a RPi4 4GB on a 32GB sd using dietpi as the OS (not overclocked) Storage Config: 1 WD USB 3.0 8TB directly to the pi (mounted as folder) 1 WD USB 3.0 8TB Network Share as a backup to the pi drive (mounted as folder) 1 4TB Hard drive on a Windows 10 PC (mounted as folder) The Windows Share is as fast as expected and the media shows instantly. The 2 WD USB3 drives are slower and take some time with some of the media. I share both of the WD drives to my Windows PC to add media to any of the drives as needed. The WD shares are so slow that Media Companion kills before it can even finish scanning the folders. I got close once and it was over 2 hours. Am I mounting things inefficiently, does Media Companion just stink over network. Any faults seen in this setup I would welcome any feedback that would help me improve.
