Chapter interval for short videos

How about adjustable chapter intervals? 10min videos don't benefit from 5min chapters. If a vid is under some set or adjustable length (30min?), set chapters to length/10 to always create 10 chapters. Maybe 4 or 5 chapters for 10min and a couple chapters if under 5min. I guess the idea is to allow some adjustability for testing until acceptable chapter/length values can be found. 

Another option could be a plugin to add chapter markers and kick off a rescan for short videos without chapters. Is this feasible with the current db, or do chapters need to be remuxed into the videos?

Hi, there is currently no configuration although you do raise a valid point about the 10 minute duration. You'd have to remux them into the file.

I searched and couldn't find anything, but I am still very surprised you didn't just point me to another bunch of posts! In the meantime, I'll look into remuxing and hope this gains some traction. Thanks.
