gokuz 13
Tested on Samsung TAB S6 lite and Fire HD 10/8. All of them shows the same problem. Video is washed out, clear example as seen below. Multitask pane shows how the Native video player is washed out. While External MPV player does not exhibit this issue. Hope you fix this asap. Happens on all video codecs (x264,x265) and color space is SDR. gokuz 13
@Luke Its clearly client side problem, so logs won't help here. Please click on "Reveal contents" for the video example.

After further testing, I've found out only android TABLETS are affected. Phones don't have this issue.

gokuz 13
1 minute ago, creativity said: No, it's not a client Problem. Please check it yourself, use some 4k material and compare it with the emby player and with the vlc or mx player. You will never want to use emby player again. The image generated by emby player looks terrible (in comparison). Plex has the same problem. I installed emby on my synology and was hyped. Great, epic media server, but unfortunately the continue playback doesn't work with third-party players, so im keep getting stuck with the video station. If you're trying to help the devs justify against fixing this please don't. Its clearly a bug which needs fixing. Stop imposing your way of watching emby to others, its unhealthy. gokuz 13
@Luke I have found some findings. Apparently, its only affecting x265 videos. Since my device is does not have HW codecs, emby's video player is SW encoding it, making it washed out. Hope you can fix it
