JeremyG 20
I'm trying to think of a solution for this: - Have an computer with an expensive DAC for playing lossless audio. - Turn that computer into an Emby server - Use the Emby App to browse audio and play it directly from the server via DAC output. Maybe this is simple, but I don't understand how it would be done.
Luke 37192
Using Emby Theater for Windows on the server machine would be one way.
JeremyG 20
yea but i'm looking for a solution for my brother-in-law. Today he has a laptop in his stereo cabinet and he plays music off of it manually. As in ...literally got up from his seat to walk over and change the music. Seems like something he should be able to do from him phone.
ebr 14949
Hi. With Emby Theater running on the laptop and his phone connected to the same server, he should be able to do just that.

So I'm on my own server from my phone right now and when I select "Play On" there is no entry for the server itself. How would I get it to play there?
