On the server under users profile settings disable transcoding for video which will force it to try to Direct Play

So last night, I made some test disable all transcoding options for my account (2 video options and 1 audio).

All the movies play correctly.

I'll make test on Monday on then generate the logs for different files.

To generate the log, should I keep all the trancodings option disable ?

Heya

Was running into the same issue with my TCL 75C725. I used that workaround with the transcoding and did the trick

If I join the beta program in the Play Store will this grab the same version that provided the fix in this case or is the app store a little behind the manual installs.

Thanks

The app store is always behind but it is up to date at this moment.

  • 3 weeks later...

Hi All,

Im glad im not the only one that has had this issue, i have been putting it off, until my content started to grow in 4k...

I have a TCL 75P725 , it looks like emby doesn't see that it has HDR or 4k..??

What would be the best option? Beta?

Thank You

Hi.  For a fix right now, yes.  We hope to release the current beta within the next few weeks.
