The top of the TV guide and justifying channels

Been playing with the guide a bit -

and am wondering if anyone might know how to make the top bit (the row with Programs, Guide etc in it) a bit transparent so the top of the circle shows through.

Also, if possible, is there any way to make the guide names left justified and the channel numbers right justified, to spread them out a bit.
