Im sure it must be documented somewhere but I am coming up empty. Could someone confirm the skip durations for Android TV when short pressing and long pressing?

From what I can see trying to watch the time indicator when doing this it appears to be the following?:

Short press skip forward = 30 seconds

Short press skip backward = 10 second

Long press skip forward = ?

Long press skip backward = ?

Thanks!

AFAIK 'Long-press' will skip in ever-increasing intervals (30s-1m-3m...) as long as you hold it, 'short-press' durations are as you configure them in Settings>Playback tab.

There are options in the Playback section of the settings in the app.

If you long-press FF/RW on your remote, then it will do exactly that, FF/RW.

FrostByte

On mine if you mash the >> or <<  it FF or REW at 10 sec increments.  But that could be because I've got mine set at using 10 sec thumbnails

Hmm? Mine seems to do like what @GrimReaperdescribes. The longer I hold it down the faster it jumps. I have just recently set up the 10 second thumbnails so I will see if the behavior changes like how @FrostBytementions.

As of last night holding the FF or RW button down makes it move in pretty big chunks so I dont use it that often as its not accurate or smooth enough to be useful.

Not sure what you mean, but you get used to it after a while.

But yes, it does FF/RW faster the longer you hold it.

It just jumps in such large increments that pressing and holding to rewind is pretty useless. On a 30 minute TV show by the time I realize to let go of the button its already back to the start of the program.

The only other option is hitting the left directional button quickly like 20 times to get it where I want it to go.

Hoping turning on the 10 second thumbnails might make the control more precise.

I miss real fast forward and rewind like you would find in Kodi etc.

Hi.  By doing that, you will get our "visual seeking" interface when you hold one of those buttons down and can navigate right to where you wish to go.
