GreenHill 0
Hi, I'm facing a performance issue where Emby DLNA server is resizing all photos larger than 4096px when playing them on TV. Those are basically all mobile photos (4.5x2Mpx) and it takes 8-10 seconds to resize one, so it's really very slow. All photos with less than 4096px are displayed fast (1 second...). I found out that DLNA photo limitation is indeed 4096x4096, so Emby fully complies with DLNA standard - no problem here . However most mobile phones produce larger photos and many nowadays 4K TVs also support larger photos via DLNA, my LG C8 supports it too. I tested it via another DLNA server app, which displays 5500x3800 photos instantly in "native" resolution, i.e. DLNA server pushes full resolution (yes, probably not following DLNA standard) and resizing is done by the TV. Is there any immediate workaround that can be applied e.g. to DLNA profiles, so Emby won't resize the photos ? If not, would you consider adding this option feature in next releases ? Also big thanks to developers for developing such a great app.
