Samsung navigation jumps around when exiting a movie or collection

I was wondering if i am the only one recorgnizing some errors with the Navigation in the Emby TV APP

No matter what version, this is for a long time and never has been fixed.

Samsung Q90R

Behavior:

If i enter a movie/Collection or a TVShow and exit it, the navigation just jumps up to any other movie, sometimes this is 20-30 movies up.

This is not happening on Web Browser Navigation.

It would be nice if this could get fixed as so far no one else seems to have reported this. I dunno?!

If you need an example clip of the problem just tell me but i think you should face the same issue and know what i mean.

Also, the buttons and the labels are sometimes not exactly in the frame, and I wonder if I'm the only one with this problem.

picture is from refreshing metadata on the TV.

thanks

I have 1.1.06 and I'm seeing both of these

What are the exact steps to reproduce with the movie list? Is it only when using the a-z alpha picker?

Here is an example of how to reproduce on my TV.  Pick any letter a bit done though to see the jump.

I've only noticed it when using the alpha picker.

Steps

  1. Navigate to All Movies
  2. Scroll down the alpha picker to a letter (for instance "k")
  3. Scroll over right and open a movie info page starting with K (The Kid)
  4. Click Return to return to All Movies
  5. You can see it return to where you left off for a fraction of a second, but then it immediately jumps several rows up to the I's

Expected behavior would be that it brought you back where you were and stop

Same here: 1.1.06
Q90R (2019)

But is not only when using alphabethical picker.

i scroll down to a random movie in about the middle of all my movies, enter the movie, click back and it jumps at least 1 row up but sometimes it jumps 4-6 rows up

No, the store app behaves like I would expect.

With the store app when you click the return button it returns you to All Movies where you were and stops.  Whereas Samsung after it returns to All Movies it then suddenly jumps several rows up

It's like something is telling the Samsung app to jump after it returns because you can see it return to where it should, but then before you can do anything it jumps.

Thanks. Can you also try the windows desktop app?

The windows desktop app is also good and returns to All Movies w/o immediately jumping

The Android app (tested on Shield) also behaves as expected
