Dogsbody 2
I love my Emby and have a pretty darn stock setup... Emby 4.6.4.0 running on a Linux VM HDHomeRun CONNECT QUATRO Nvidia Shield LG OLED TV Some recorded TV programs however are unable to be played, it just sits there spinning. I can see it transcoding but can't really see why it either takes too long or exits with an error. The logs are attached if anyone can help point me in the right direction. Thank you in advance. embyserver.txt ffmpeg-remux-8675f69d-d5b2-45d1-8a1d-337a8f1f9c64_1.txt
Carlo 4330
That's actually just a remux and not a transcode. You actually cut off the first part of playback in the log but it's ok because you can see the client reporting back playback at 0 meaning it never started playing it back. We are going to need client logs from the Shield/Emby client to look at this. The link below will include instructions for doing this. Dogsbody 2
Ahh, thank you. Report now sent through to you via the Shield.... I was trying to play the media at the time. I sent the log at 10:58 Eastern Time The name of the Emby user on the local server that was logged in at the time is 'playuser' Thank you again

ebr 14948
Hi. What was the source of the recording? UK live TV by any chance?
Dogsbody 2
Yes, a BBC channel in the UK
ebr 14948
Okay. We've recently discovered some issues with those streams. We were able to work around the most common ones but there are still some outstanding edge cases. Unfortunately, this must be one of them. If you can provide us with a sample, we may be able to confirm. A remux of the item should make it play properly.
Dogsbody 2
Happy to provide you with as many samples as you wish. Thank you. What is the best way to get them to you?
Luke 37178
Is dropbox or google drive possible?
Dogsbody 2
Dropbox works for me, I don't use it any more and have loads of free space in it Who do I send them to? I'm guessing a shouldn't share links to video content in this public forum?
Carlo 4330
Send a PM to both Luke and ebr with the attached DB link. Give a link back to this thread if you can for reference. Luke 37178
Can you try sideloading our standard android app on the same device and let us know how that compares? https://emby.media/emby-for-android.html Thanks.
