thefirstofthe300 291
I was just testing out the new FFmpeg throttling feature and noticed that it doesn't work at all in the Mono build. My CPU usage stays constant until the transcode is done. It doesn't slow down on the transcode at any point. Shouldn't this be implemented? rabbit1543 105
I think im seeing the same thing but my server is running on a win7 64bit box. Also my cpu is also higher than what Luke shows in his screenshot. Im seeing a pretty constant rate of 55-65% regardless of the client im using. So far my tests have all been from outside the local network. My transcoding settings on the server are set to Auto. I've recently upgraded from an old q6600 machine to a micro computer and it performs very well with the exception of higher than expected cpu usage when transcoding. I dont recall what kind of cpu usage was on the old machine but i can say the on the new machine the mb3 experience is way smoother and live tv guide loads 10 times faster. My new rig http://www.gigabyte.us/products/product-page.aspx?pid=4857#ov loaded with 16gb ram intel 240gb msata intel 240gb 2.5in sata ssd (for recordings)
