dec1pher 7
Emby Live TV - Disable Record Prompt Hi everyone and the Emby Team. First, thanks so much for all of your hard work and effort on the Emby product - it is fantastic and has come a long way. I have been a supporter since the Media Browser days, 2013 and on wards! Secondly, I am using the Emby Live TV feature and have noticed the 'Record Prompt' appears when I click on any of the channels to watch a live TV session. Is there any way to by-pass this or to turn it off completely? I do not need to record any sessions. Thanks
Carlo 4330
It there by default, but if you don't need it you could turn off "Allow Live TV recording management" access from the user->Access tab page for yourself and any other users.

Hi there, I am assuming you meant the setting is under Users > Profile > Feature Access? There is a checkbox for 'Allow Live TV recording management'. I've unchecked this but the prompt still appears (also restarted the server to no-avail). Please note this user is allowed to manage the server (as its my default account).
Carlo 4330
Yes, you're right, I just tested this. However with the option off you can't manage series from the series tab. @Luke there's an with Allow Live TV recording management disabled the screen is still showing record series/record episode buttons when you click on any guide entry.
