kayzer699 0
hello, when I access my server remotely, I connect as domain name + port number, I want to hide the port number. Is it possible?
GrimReaper 3310
Only if you run your server on ports 80/443 (http/https defaults), in which case IP/domain name only is sufficient. Edit: Or some nginx jail config, @pir8radio? Edited October 25, 2021 by GrimReaper Afterthought 1
Carlo 4330
Yes but this will only work for web URLs as any Emby client will need to have the port entered. Port 80 is the default web port used for non secure communication while port 443 is used for secured communication. I run my Emby server using port 443 just for this reason! 1

Yeah, I reckon that was what the OP was referring to, as client apps don't expose port once connected anyway.
