Camera upload: is "Camera roll" needed?

Folks,

I'm using Camera Upload to upload files from my phone to NAS for backup.

Now it works fairly good, however there is an extra step which I don't really understand:

In the media browser I have to go through this path to open an image backed up:

Root > Camera Uploads > My_Specific_Phone > Camera Roll > Spec_Image

For me "Camera Roll" seems not feasible.

What is the purpose of that? Is it possible that "My_Specific_Phone" will have more subdirs next to "Camera Roll"?

If not, can I somehow remove it, to make the path this:

Root > Camera Uploads > My_Specific_Phone > Spec_Image

Thanks!

Hi, After they are uploaded you are free to reorganize as you wish.

Camera roll is just the name of the photo album that it is assigned to on the phone.

Yes, I know, but then when I create new images they will be uploaded again into "Camera Roll", no?

I'm looking for the info if it's possible to directly upload to "My_Specific_Phone". What do you think?

Thank you,

D

OK there's currently no way to prevent the album folder from being created, but more options are possible for the future. thanks.
