candycane13 1
Just upgraded to DSM 7from DSM 6 and I cannot see my media anymore when i enter my server address 192.168..... I tried to add my libraries again, but when I click on Volume 1and try to click were my movies are located, nothing appears. The media is there because I can still play it, just not with Emby. When I try logging in with the apps.media., I see my server but it says connection failure. I tried looking through the forums for answers, but there are soo many issues it was hard to find my issues, although I'm sure this has been answered. What do I need to do to solve this? FrostByte 5052
To me it sounds like you didn't use the DSM6 to DSM7 migration instructions for Emby Specifically I would say you missed the step about permissions which has changed a bit in DSM7 where you need to use the drop down box to change to a system internal user. candycane13 1
Thanks for your help. That did it! Needed to change to internal user permissions. I definitely didn't follow migration instructions. I never knew they existed or guessed I would need to do anything special. Regardless, I appreciate the help and quick response.
Carlo 4330
If you still have the DSM 6 installation in /volume1/Emby you can still follow the migration instructions! That will move over everything so you won't have to rescan libs, setup users, lose watched status, etc.
