Hi. I would like to add all channels that are in a single M3U to one group.

I have several M3Us example an m3u for free live tv from USA that has a dedicated M3U from an http location and another one from Canada with another http location.

how can I make a group called USA and another called Canada so under live tv I can just click on USA to see all the channels for USA or click Canada and see all for Canada.

hope my question  is clear.

Hi, Modify each m3u file to add a group to each stream.  You could use groups called USA & Canada.

When imported those groups will become USA & Canada tags.

I see that would work if I had access to the m3u but it's external to me. Any way of doing a bulk select and assign of tags within emby?

You can download the m3u, edit it then use the file in Emby.

Short of doing that you could use xTeVe to add the groups. xTeVe would pull the m3u on a schedule and apply your customer changes giving you a file or URL to use in Emby.

You could also possibly script this as well to curl the file (download it) add the group to the file and run this on a schedule.
