generiq 113
If you're using Theater and have no bandwidth problems, the app will tone-map natively. It won't require server intervention. Was there something specific you were trying to accomplish?

Am I using the wrong app ? as I saw other people have that option in their client

If it is, using the GPU renderer will rectify it, then I can add a little to improve the picture...

I just uninstall the theatre app and re-download from the official website. it still wouldn't tone map or have that tone map option displayed under transcoding section. The player that is used in Theater and the player that is used in Chrome are entirely different, with entirely different capabilities. This is the Theater forum, so let's focus on Theater, here. For Chrome, you should start a new topic in the General forum. So...in Theater....play some HDR media....pull up the stats for nerds....take a screenshot and post it here Edited September 7, 2021 by generiq
