DHos 1 Posted August 23, 2021 Share Posted August 23, 2021 Streaming to a Samsung 4k tv and activating subtitles causes the stream to change from directplay to transcode. Subtitles are pgssub. Latest Emby for Samsung I have is 1.0.97 (nothing later in Samsung site). Is this an issue with the Samsung Emby app or with the Emby server? FrostByte 5049 Posted August 23, 2021 Share Posted August 23, 2021 This is actually an issue with your TV as Samsung has never supported pgssubs. Luke 37069 Posted August 24, 2021 Share Posted August 24, 2021 Your TV does not support PGS, so that is why you're seeing transcoding.
