Hi.  What exactly is happening?  What is different about these subs vs others that do work?

Some mkvs with built-in ass subtitles will not display subtitles

The video sample has a size of 11gb. Do I want to upload it to Google drive?

If you can, sure.  Or, if a one minute clip of it exhibits the same behavior and you can create that, then that will work too.  Thanks.

The following built-in ass subtitle TV client of this type cannot display normally

It is downloading (which will take a while) but I just played it directly from  your link and no subs showed.

Thats normal with that type of link, the google player doesn't show embedded subtitles those mkv videos (nor srt, nor ass).

Unless it is related to being all the way back on Android 6.0, I'm not sure why it isn't working for you.

I have the same problem when installing emby for Android TV on my mobile phone. I can't display this built-in ass subtitle

On Shield TV playing direct both subs work for me.

In web either direct streaming or transcoding neither sub plays for me.

Synology 4.7.0.7 Server
