Hi,

I had a hard disk failure and restored emby from a backup using the plugin. Emby was restored with multiple instances of all the libraries. I was able to delete and recreate the libraries resulting in single instances of the libraries, However the multiple instances of the collections and playslists have persisted.

things I have tried

  • uninstalling and reinstalling emby
  • deleting the metadata in the collections
  • deleting and recreating the movie library

Any help would be appreciated

Hi, have you ran a full library scan yet after setting up your libs again?

Jeffpyn

thanks for the quick reply

I have hit the "scan library files" button on the library page assuming that triggers a full library scan

What you can try now is hover you mouse over a collection and then select the 3 dot menu.
You should see a remove option to delete the library.

You can remove the playlists and collections and then run another library scan which should recreate just one of each.

Will have to find the workaround link but Collections will not have a delete/remove option.

For Collections you will need to do this.

shutdown Emby
go to "Data path: C:\Users\jeffp\AppData\Roaming\Emby-Server\programdata\root\default"
delete that collections folder
start Emby
That should change the content type of Collections shown on Dashboard-Library to Mixed Content and allow you to remove them.

Yep, thanks for the Happy2Play. Remove is still good for Playlists but not for Collections on 4.6+.
